Jasmine Green- Teller at TD Bank – America’s Most Convenient Bank
I had anticipated going to an YPS event for months ever since my Assistant Manager told me about the organization. I am a Springfield native and there was a point when I wanted nothing more than to get away from Springfield and build wealth somewhere else. But instead of abandoning my home I wanted to start helping the community, eventually open my own business and make Springfield the best it could be. I was nervous attending my first YPS event; I expected to meet many people such as CEO’s and Entrepreneurs who would have no interest in a Bank Teller.
The first night that I went I enjoyed myself thoroughly. Everyone that greeted me was so nice and welcoming. I met many different people from around the area that had the same ambitions as myself, were goal orientated and already accomplished and established in their careers. Networking and talking to everyone became easier than I thought it would. I felt that I would be able to find a mentor to help me pursue my career goals in another field if necessary. I definitely left that night feeling motivated to establish myself where I could eventually be a mentor to a young individuals like myself who want to make their Home a better place to live, work, stay and play.
